About GiftSpin

GiftSpin started as a private side project to solve a stubborn problem: a friend's birthday three days away, no idea what to buy, and twenty browser tabs of identical "top 50 gifts" listicles. None of them asked anything about the actual person. We figured a small AI tool could do better in thirty seconds than an afternoon of doom-scrolling — and the first version proved it.

What GiftSpin is

GiftSpin is a free AI-powered gift finder. You describe the recipient — age, interests, occasion, budget — and we use Anthropic's Claude model to generate three personalised ideas you can shop directly on Temu. There's no account, no email capture, no saved data. Spin, browse, decide, close the tab.

How we choose what to surface

We don't pick products by hand. The AI generates a search term for each idea and we hand you Temu's own search results for it. That means availability and pricing reflect Temu in real time, and we never recommend a specific listing — only a category and search. You stay in control of what to buy.

Our editorial principles

• Useful beats clever. Suggestions should be ideas you'd give a friend, not the most novel thing on the page.
• No dark patterns. No fake countdown timers, no manufactured urgency, no email walls.
• Transparent affiliate links. Every Temu link includes our affiliate ID. We earn only if you buy, and the price doesn't change for you.
• Privacy by default. We don't store form inputs, build profiles, or pass anything to third parties besides the AI provider needed to generate the suggestions.

How we make money

Two ways: ads served by Google AdSense, and affiliate commissions from Temu. Both are disclosed on the site. That's the entire business model — no upsells, no premium tier, no data brokerage.
